Microsoft Copilot – AI Strategy Execution

Today, Microsoft announced that Copilot would be rolled out for Windows 11 on Sep 26 (through a free update.) What does it mean?

Significance –  AI has been integrated into Microsoft’s operating system. It’s a move with AI integration from applications to OS.

Impact – End users can use natural language to ask Copilot to perform specific tasks or help them troubleshoot a problem..etc

From strategy generation to strategy execution, Microsoft did well in a short time frame.

– ChatGPT was launched on November 30, 2022.

– Bing Chat was launched in February 2023 with the integration of ChatGPT.

– Bing Chat was available within the search box of Windows 11 OS in March 2023.

– Bing Chat Enterprise preview in July 2023

– Copilot integration with Windows 11 in September 2023

– Bing will add support for the latest DALL.E 3 model from OpenAI in September 2023

– Microsoft 365 Copilot will be generally available for enterprise customers on Nov. 1, 2023

– Copilot can work across devices, using phone data to draft messages in November.
