Request, Narrative, and Fear

“Before you speak today – whether in conversation, in writing, or even in thought – pause. Drop into your heart. Ask: “Is this arising from fear or from truth?” ~ This quote was what I received from Transmission 20 from “Transmissions for the Soul” Book One by Richard Barrett

Request handling came to my mind with the transmission. Many conflicts start with a request. A request can be accepted, declined, or negotiated; regardless of whether it’s delivered in a tone of command or pleading.

A request might be accepted unwillingly. When we feel no choice but to agree, we tend to feel victimized and start thinking negatively about it.

What could be our narrative? Pressure to comply? No room to negotiate? Unreasonable demand? Or self-blaming – I am too weak, a pushover.

Could it be just our fear showed up? Fear to say no, fear to disappoint, or fear to lose (something that matters to us). This is the time to drop into our hearts.

“When you align your inner truth with your outer expression, your words regain their sacredness. They become carriers of energy, not just sound. They bless instead of impress, resonate instead of convincing, and heal instead of defending.”   ~ Transmission 20.

Questions: What matters to you that you are fearful of losing? Does it impact how you handle requests?
