Self-Reflection, self-soothing, and empathy are the core capacities that are essential for growth in our ability to manage our emotions and our relationships. "positive-negative orientation" is part of self-reflection ability. The foundation of these emotion intelligence was developed in the year of 0 to 4. If positive-negative orientation was not developed towards balance, it’s going to take some work to re-train yourself to "look at the bright side".
