AI Impact on Career and People

I have been following AI development, using AI tools, and attending many discussion sessions. This is my thought today when reading Anthropic v Dow.

For technology, AI will push the envelope to the extreme, helping to design, code, debug, and facilitate multitasking with various agents. It’s more logical and predictable work, and AI will advance technologies at the speed of light. It’s exciting! At the same time, the ethics and the governance of its usage will pose challenges for all of us.

On the emotional side, we are facing challenges in a brand-new world. Traditionally, we choose our friends and our source of knowledge. We take more charge of who we want to engage with and build trust and relationships accordingly.

AI serves us with collative thoughts, opinions, knowledge, preferences and biases. The data/content comes from both positive and negative energy. It brings lights and darknesses to the surface much faster for everyone. “Facts” and “truth” have many faces. It’s harder to obtain clarity about what’s authentical, what’s essential and what’s more nurturing to our mind; especially for younger generations.

As parents, helping kids build confidence and clarity is more important than worrying about what careers they should get into in the AI era. When they are grounded, they can make judgements and decisions with all of the data and challenges  presented to them.
